Your Own Space in East Melbourne
Our upstairs private dining room is ideal for Christmas lunches, team dinners, client celebrations and end-of-year get-togethers, with space for up to 32 guests.
It’s a genuinely private space with its own bar, dedicated waitstaff and AV facilities available if you need them. For larger groups, full venue hire can also be arranged.
With function packages starting from $39 per person, you can keep things relaxed and simple or make a proper occasion of it, with a customised food and drink package to suit your taste.
A Christmas Lunch That Feels Like a Christmas Lunch
Not every end-of-year celebration needs a ballroom, cocktail package or a room full of hundreds of people.
Sometimes it’s much nicer to get everyone around the table, order some good Italian food, open a bottle of wine and actually enjoy each other’s company. That’s much more our style.
Geppetto has been welcoming people to Wellington Parade since 1981, and our approach to functions is much the same as it is every other day: generous food, warm hospitality and making sure everyone around the table is well looked after.

Close to the CBD, Without Being in the CBD
Being in East Melbourne also makes Geppetto an easy meeting point for teams coming from the city and surrounding suburbs.
We’re just outside the Melbourne CBD and close to the MCG and Melbourne Park precinct, including Rod Laver Arena, AAMI Park and John Cain Arena.
So if the Christmas lunch happens to turn into an afternoon or evening out afterwards, you’re already in a pretty good part of Melbourne for it.
